How It Works.
Start with the real life. I’ll build from there.Styling should not feel like another thing to figure out.
You tell me the people, the setting, the photographer if you have one, what everyone will actually wear, and what no one is willing to wear. I build the Edit from there.
A clear plan. A little personality. No more 47 open tabs.
Evert After Photography
Four steps. No panic.
You do not need to have it all figured out before we begin. That’s the point of the Edit.
Tell Me the Vibe
Before I build anything, you’ll fill out a detailed questionnaire so I can understand the full picture.
Not just sizes and favorite colors. The actual context.
The session date. The location, if you have one. The photographer, if you’ve booked one. The people being styled. What everyone will actually wear. What everyone refuses to wear. Anything you already own and want to include.
This is where the Edit starts.
Real people first. Clothes second.I Build the Edit
I take everything you share and turn it into a clear styling direction.
Palette, mood, outfit ideas, shopping links, texture, silhouette, and how everything works together in the frame.
Sometimes that means building around one piece you already own. Sometimes it means finding the missing layer. Sometimes it means gently steering everyone away from the idea that matching is the safest choice.
The goal is not to make you look styled beyond recognition.
The goal is to make the whole thing feel like you, with the right details doing the work.
The plan starts taking shape here.We Refine
You review the first round and tell me what feels right, what feels off, and where we need to shift.
Maybe the color story is working, but one silhouette is not. Maybe you love the direction for your kids, but want something different for yourself. Maybe one piece feels too bold, too dressy, too neutral, or just not like you.
That is what the refinement round is for.
We adjust the Edit before the final plan, so the direction still feels clear and more like you.
Strong opinions are welcome. Honestly, helpful.Show Up
You arrive knowing what everyone is wearing, how the looks work together, and why the whole thing makes sense.
No parking-lot outfit regret. No last-minute panic. No wondering if everyone looks like they were styled for different photos.
Just real people, real clothes, and a plan that holds together.
Yes, you can sit on the grass. What the Edit gives you.
Not a generic guide. Not a Pinterest board with good intentions. A clear styling plan built around your people, your setting, your real-life constraints, and the way you want the photos to feel.
A Clear Direction
Palette + MoodA refined mood and palette so the whole Edit has a point of view.
Color, setting, season, energy, and anything you already own and want to include all work together to create the through-line.
Not a random collection of outfits. An actual plan.
The Styling Plan
Looks + LinksPersonalized outfit direction with direct shopping links, thoughtful pairings, and options that actually belong together.
Sometimes we shop. Sometimes we start with what you already have. Usually, it is a little of both.
Everyone gets to look like themselves without looking like they came in a set.
Photo Direction
Visual Cues + MovementWhen it makes sense, I’ll include simple photo ideas that support the styling and the setting.
Not a shot list for your photographer to follow. More like a few visual cues: read books on the bed, play a game at the table, walk through the garden, spin in the yard, lean into the thing your family already does.
The photographer shapes the image: the light, the framing, the movement, the editing, and the feeling of the final gallery.
The styling helps the whole frame make sense.
We build from what is real.
The best Edit does not require you to have everything figured out before we begin.
Maybe you already have a photographer booked. Maybe you need help thinking through the right visual fit. Maybe the location is set. Maybe we need to choose one. Maybe there’s a dress you want to include. Maybe we are starting completely from scratch.
All of that is workable.
We look at what is already decided, what still needs direction, and what real-life constraints we need to respect. Then we build the plan from there.
You do not need all the answers before we start. That is what the Edit is for.A few things worth knowing.
Do I need to buy everything new?
No. We can absolutely start with what you already have. Sometimes the best Edit begins with one piece that already feels like you.
What if someone refuses an outfit?
Then we work with the refusal.
The goal is not to force anyone into clothes they hate. The Edit is built around real people, real opinions, and what they will actually wear. If something doesn’t feel right, we use your refinement round to swap the piece, adjust the direction, or start with what already works.
What if I already have a photographer?
Perfect. We’ll build with that in mind.
Different photographers shape images differently, so I’ll consider the photographer’s visual style when thinking through palette, texture, movement, and how the clothing will read in the final photos.
